Mural Reception Jan 29


You are invited tonight from 5pm - 6pm to the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center at 601 Wall Street in downtown Chico where there will be a reception to celebrate the completion of the Bridge of Bridges Mural.

live painting

I will be participating in a live painting extravaganza with fellow 46 studio member Janice Porter and encaustic painting goddess Cynthia Schildhauer. We will be painting to the live funk music of the David Elke Trio at Westside Green (a new green building subdivision). Our paintings will be auctioned at the end of the night as a benefit to BEC, the Chico Nature Center, and KZFR. Also on tap: free food, free wine, and a screening of the award-winning short comedy “The Cubicle.”

Missing and Wanted at the 1078

The nationally renowned 1078 Gallery presents Stephen Beebe and Dylan Tellesen in "Missing and Wanted," an exhibition of new drawings, paintings, installations, and collaborations. The show runs from July 5th through August 4th. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, July 7th from 6-9pm with an Artwalk AfterParty from 9pm until closing. Great show in Sacramento at the Artisan Gallery on Del Paso Blvd. Two twelve year old rock bands played--they were amazing. Marie was very taken with the rock stars. Hayes was very taken with my camera.

Stephen and I will be painting a 20' x 40' mural to accompany stand alone pieces for our next show entitled "I'm a sunshine-rainbow igloo." Plaster faster

The pool now has plaster and water and even happy people escaping from the valley heat.

Death Metal Lizard

My hands were literally dripping with blood while working with this metal stuff. Every time you cut it, it spawns baby razorblabes. My hands withstanding everything is going well (almost ready for concrete)

Animal Art at the Crux

I put a piece in the animal-themed art show at the Crux Art Collective. Hayes, Marie and I attended the reception in costumes with brown bag beverages. Here are some shots of Hayes next to his favorite piece, the kids in costume, and Hayes pointing out my art to anyone who would listen.
